Symphonic Band Spring 2024

The spring Symphonic Band Concert saluted the military and battles of the past. Led by Nick Kozar, the musicians performed “Esprit De Corps” by R. Jager, a piece based on the “Marines’ Hymn,” followed by “The Blue and the Gray” by C. Grundman. Another hymn played, “Eternal Father, Strong to Save” by C. T. Smith, had been adopted as the official hymn of the U.S. Navy. The program concluded with D. Shaffer’s exciting piece depicting an intense battle between Civil War ships, “The Last to Defend,” and M. Brown’s arrangement of the “Captain America March.”
