The Chamber Recital demonstrated a continued emphasis on chamber music, with various student ensembles presenting a diverse repertoire of works. The Woodwind Quintet opened the concert with classics, including Mozart’s “Divertimento No. 14” and a modern piece, “The Teddy Bears’ Picnic.” Trio Eialà followed with both sacred and secular pieces, including Anton Arensky’s “Trio in D Minor.” The Brass Quintet introduced two more modern pieces, “Mozart on Parade” by Peter Schickele and “Central Park Morning” by David Chesky. Eialà Quintet closed the night with “It Is Well,” arranged by Jesse Becker, and the first movement of Schumann’s “Piano Quintet in E-Flat Major.”
