Eagles Basketball vs. Johnson University of Florida

Looking to add the win column and continue in their home-stand the Eagles put up a fight against the Johnson University of Florida Suns and forced overtime. Outscored by four in overtime though, the Eagles fell just short of a second home win.
 
Scoring quickly in the opening minutes, the Suns came out ready to play, going up 4-0, but with a big block by Liam GerdtsLucas Hernandez opened the scoring with a 3-pointer. Trading blows with 11 lead changes through the first half, neither team could pull away. With a highly competitive first-half ending the Eagles headed to the locker room down 31-27 hoping to make the proper adjustments going into the second half.
 
Fighting to come back, the Eagles were on a mission. With another competitive half, Blaise Conlon, after a quiet first half, and the freshman, Jake Longo, led the charge combining for 21 of the Eagles’ 34 points in the second half to force overtime. Ultimately coming up short the Eagles were outscored by 4 in overtime with a score of 67-63 as the final.
