PCCymphony Spring 2023

Directed by Dr. Charles Bombard, the PCCymphony turned the audience’s attention to the Savior through sacred orchestral selections. The program featured Mendelssohn’s Symphony 5 Reformation, written for the 300th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession and based on Luther’s “A Mighty Fortress is Our God”; Elgar’s “Nimrod,” written for a close friend and referencing the mighty hunter from Scripture; and concluded with Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Overture, reflecting the joy of death overcome by Christ’s resurrection.
