Handbell Concert Spring 2022

Directed by Dr. Tim Willingham, two handbell choirs retold the Easter story. They played somber numbers about the crucifixion, including J. Raney and A. Sherman’s “Softly and Tenderly” arrangement, N. Hascall’s “Gethsemane,” and A. Guebert’s arrangement of “Gift of Grace.” Then in celebration of Christ’s resurrection, they performed F. Gramann’s “All Glorious Above,” J. Krug’s “Exultate,” and A. Sherman’s “Song of Assurance.” The concert closed with the lively English Folk Songs Suite 1 by R. Vaughn Williams, arranged by K. McChesney, and “Dorian Dance” by M. Joy.
